# Trust and data

> Who is accountable, what Kinro's agent will and will not do, what Kinro receives and shares, and the user's choices.

This page is for anyone who needs to know how Kinro's agent behaves and who stands behind it: business owners, the developers who connect their agents, carriers, partners and regulators. It summarizes commitments made in Kinro's [Privacy Policy](/privacy-policy) and [Terms of Service](/terms-of-service); where they differ, those documents govern.

## Who is accountable

- **Kinro Insurance Services LLC** is an independent insurance agency licensed in all 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C. It is the broker for every request made through the Kinro MCP. Kinro is an insurance agency, not an insurance carrier.
- As the broker, Kinro is accountable for its advice and carries errors and omissions insurance for it.
- **Leo** is Kinro's AI insurance advisor. It says openly that it is an AI. Licensed insurance professionals review every quote before a policy is bound and handle work that needs licensed judgment.

## What Kinro's agent will and will not do

Leo will:

- explain coverage for the business in the conversation, including what carriers require and what policies exclude;
- ask the questions carriers need answered, and say when information is missing or a coverage cannot be quoted in the conversation;
- get quotes from carriers and present their prices, limits, exclusions and dates as the carrier gave them;
- say when a question needs a licensed person, and arrange for one to follow up.

Leo will not:

- sell or bind a policy in the chat, or take payment there;
- tell a user they are covered before a policy is bought and confirmed;
- ask for Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, payment card numbers or passwords in an agent conversation;
- email or text the user without their agreement in the conversation;
- give carriers permission to contact the user.

## What Kinro receives

When an agent calls Kinro's MCP, Kinro receives:

- the messages the agent sends for the user, and any insurance documents the user chooses to share;
- contact details the user gives, such as an email address or phone number;
- from ChatGPT and Codex, the conversation identifiers they send, used to keep each conversation together. ChatGPT's user identifier is stored only in hashed form.

Kinro does not receive the user's assistant account details or the rest of their chat history. It does not store client metadata such as workspace paths, locale or approximate location, and it does not store document download links.

## How it is used and shared

- **Use:** to answer the user's insurance questions, prepare quotes, and follow up on their request. Each conversation creates an insurance request record at Kinro.
- **Carriers and intermediaries** that Kinro requests quotes from receive the business details needed to quote. They receive no permission to contact the user.
- **Service providers** that help Kinro operate are listed on the [Subprocessors](/subprocessors) page.
- **Kinro does not sell** insurance requests or conversations.
- The assistant the user talks through handles the chat under its own provider's privacy policy.

Retention is described in the Privacy Policy's [Data Retention](/privacy-policy#data-retention) section.

## The user's choices

- Users choose what to share. They can decline any question.
- Kinro contacts users outside the chat only at contact details they share and agree to be contacted at. Users can opt out of email or text at any time.
- Users can stop at any time by disconnecting Kinro in their assistant's settings.
- Users can ask Kinro to access, correct or delete their information, including a conversation and its request, at [contact@kinro.com](mailto:contact@kinro.com).

## Quotes and purchases

Quotes come from the carriers' own quoting systems. Kinro presents the carrier's terms; it does not change them. Before buying, the user reviews the full quote, terms and the carrier's required disclosures on kinro.com. Nothing is bought in the chat. See [Quotes](/docs/quotes).

## For carriers and partners

Kinro sends carriers the business details needed to quote, through the carriers' quoting systems, and presents carrier quotes to the user without altering their terms. To discuss appointments, integrations or distribution, contact [contact@kinro.com](mailto:contact@kinro.com) or see [Partner with Kinro](/partners).

## Reporting a concern

Report a problem with Kinro's answers, a privacy request, or a security concern to [contact@kinro.com](mailto:contact@kinro.com). Include the time of the conversation and, for agent integrations, the `conversation_id`.
