Changes to the Kinro MCP that integrations need to know about, newest first. Changes marked Breaking need agents or their configuration to change.

2026-10-02

  • Breaking: ask_kinro now requires a message, so a call without one no longer checks for news. Use get_kinro_messages instead: it returns Kinro's new messages, each marked new, and with wait: true it waits for Kinro's next message. Refresh your client's tool list and schemas.
  • A quote message gives the price and a link to the full quote on kinro.com. The coverage, limits, dates and exclusions are on the quote page; agents that can open web pages go through it with the user.
  • Agent conversations can get workers' compensation quotes. These cannot be bought online: a licensed Kinro agent completes the purchase with the user.
  • The test endpoint handles every conversation as a real request. Present a made-up business as the user's business, with details that look real; Kinro does not quote details it is told are fake or for a test.

2026-10-01

  • Kinro's public MCP docs launched at kinro.com/docs.
  • Added get_kinro_messages, which reads the conversation back, the latest 5 messages by default and up to 100, so a reply or quote lost on the way can be read again.
  • ask_kinro accepts insurance documents as base64 data.
  • Breaking: check_kinro_updates and show_kinro_quote were removed. Results no longer include status, lastMessage or quotePending, and messages is an array of strings. See Updating an existing connection.
