Using Kinro

Quotes

How Kinro prepares carrier quotes, what a quote message contains, and how users buy on kinro.com.

View as Markdown

Kinro gets real quotes from insurance carriers for the business in the conversation. A quote is the carrier's price and terms for specific coverage. It is not a policy until the user buys it on kinro.com.

How a quote is prepared

  1. Leo learns about the business: what it does, where, its size, and the coverage it needs.
  2. When Kinro has what a carrier needs, it sends the business's details to carriers through their quoting systems. Carriers receive no permission to contact the user.
  3. Leo says when it is pricing a quote and when to expect it. Until it arrives, check with ask_kinro without a message; quotes usually arrive within a few minutes.
  4. Kinro delivers each quote as a message in the conversation.

In agent conversations, Kinro quotes coverage that carriers can price through their quoting systems. When a coverage cannot be quoted that way, Leo says so. A licensed Kinro team member may follow up when a request needs one.

What a quote message contains

A quote message includes the available quote details:

  • the coverage quoted, such as general liability, a business owner's policy or professional liability;
  • the recorded price, monthly and yearly when both amounts are provided;
  • the limits and the policy's start and end dates, when provided;
  • the recorded exclusions and prohibited operations, or a note when these were not provided;
  • a reminder that the summary is not the full policy wording and that a quote does not start coverage;
  • a short note about Kinro;
  • a link to the full quote on kinro.com.

Missing dates, amounts or limits do not establish that a term or payment option is unavailable. Show the message to the user as written, including the link.

Assumptions

Kinro uses working assumptions for details the user has not given, such as whether the business wants an optional add-on or when coverage should start. After a quote message, Leo's next reply lists the current assumptions for the business and coverage: the question, the value assumed, and why, up to 15, then how many more there are. He marks these as unconfirmed working values. He says a value was used to price the quote only when quote evidence supports it.

Check the list with the user. If one is wrong, send the correct value with ask_kinro, for example "The owner wants Hired and Non-Owned Auto removed". Kinro records it and requotes, and the new quote arrives as another quote message. When a correction leaves the price unchanged, such as only the start date, no new quote message is sent; ask Kinro to confirm the change.

Buying a policy

Nothing is bought in the chat. The user opens the quote link on kinro.com, reviews the full terms and the carrier's required disclosures, and completes the purchase there. Licensed insurance professionals review every quote before a policy is bound.

Do not tell the user they are covered until they have bought the policy and Kinro has confirmed it.

Accuracy

The list describes Kinro's current working assumptions. Ask Kinro to check a value against the quote if you need to know whether it was used to price it. If a fact changes, such as the business's operations, headcount or revenue, send the correction with ask_kinro so Kinro can requote. Quotes have an expiry, shown on the quote page.
